Julian Antique Shops

Updated: Dec 29, 2020

Nothing haunts us more than the antiques we don't buy....

What better place to go antique hunting than in San Diego’s only gold rush town? Julian, CA has a history of gold mining, farming, and ranching dating back to the 1800s. While much of what is left of the town's original artifacts are on display, you might find that some historical antiques are for sale in some of the cute antique shops around. You never know what you might find!

Santa Ysabel General Store

The Santa Ysabel General Store

Nestled in the beautiful Santa Ysabel Valley where Highway 78 and 79 meet, there sits the historic 1884 Santa Ysabel General Store. This hidden gem is one of those places you don’t expect to come across, but once you do, you are sure glad you did. Today, the non-profit Save Our Heritage Organisation (SOHO) owns the store and barn in the back. They have restored San Diego’s only remaining false-front adobe building back to its original beauty. The store is stocked with canned goods, home goods, and, of course, antiques.

Oak and Olive

Right next door to the Santa Ysabel General Store is the newest Julian-area antique shop, Oak and Olive. They have a wonderful variety of great old gems and new gifts.

Wynola Junction

Three miles west of Julian—down Highway 78—you can find Wynola Junction. Back in the day, it was a fruit packing shed. In 2003, owner Tracy revamped the building into an amazing Antique Mall that carries a variety of collectibles, antiques, furniture, and more. From the moment you step inside, you'll be on a trip down Memory Lane!

Dogs are welcome...just as long as they don't eat the kitty food.

Heartland Vestige Home Decor

Heartland Vestige Home Decor travels the country selling home decor at shows. We’re lucky to have our town as their home base and home to their showroom on B Street. They have participated in the Silobration Vendor Fair at Magnolia Market in Waco, TX multiple times. How cool is that?! You can also find Mountain Made candles here! So come on by the next time you come up to Julian.
